Latin American Short Stories Reading Group – January
January 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
VLACC is excited to host the January edition of a reading group for anyone passionate about Latin American literature.
Join us for an engaging discussion of three Brazilian short stories: “Lion” (2010) by Luisa Geisler, “Sparks” (2012) by Carol Bensimon, and “Lettuce Nights” (2013) by Vanessa Barbara.
The session will be facilitated by Professor Alessandra Santos and promises to be a thought-provoking exploration of contemporary Brazilian literature.
The stories are available in English translation, and the discussion will be in English. No background knowledge of Latin American literature or culture is needed. Everyone is welcome!
