SOLD OUT – Explore Latin American Culture – Spring Break Camp

For kids with age at least 6 years but less than 10 years
In partnership with the Britannia Community Centre and Words in Motion Spanish Language, we’re excited to present a Latin American-inspired Spring Break Camp from March 18th to 22nd.
During the week, participants will explore music, language, arts & crafts, dance, and food in a variety of activities. Also we will have a few guest artists. There will be time for outdoor fun and making friends.
Please pack a lunch, nut-free snacks, and bring a water bottle. Dress for the weather with hat and sunscreen. Join us on the last day for a showing of what they created in the camp.

Guest Artists:
Emilia Rojas is a multidisciplinary Andean artist and Early Childhood Educator. Some of her work has been published in Mexico in the anthology Palabras Malditas (Efimera, 2008). In Uruguay, she published Sangre de Pez (Hoderstorm, 2016), a collection of poetry, prose and art. She lives in Vancouver, British Columbia with her dog Humita.
Carla Alcántara is a Mexican multidisciplinary artist, emerging choreographer, photographer, videographer, and educator. Director of TEMPO Dance & Visual Art, a project-based company that collaborates with different artists, mixing contemporary dance and visual art to create meaningful yet accessible art to express, communicate and connect with people.
