Before taking on the Marketing Coordinator position, Angela volunteered with VLACC’s Marketing and Communications team for eight months, in charge of posting across the organization’s social media platforms and creating and developing its digital strategy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and an advanced diploma in Public Opinion and Political Marketing. Before immigrating from Colombia to Canada in early 2019, Angela was a journalist covering political and social justice topics for several newspapers. She also worked for the federal government as the Social Media Coordinator. That includes work for the Ministry of Justice and the office of the President of Colombia during the tenure of Nobel Peace Prize winner Juan Manuel Santos. Angela recently completed a Social Media Marketing Diploma at the Canadian College in Vancouver.
