Silvia Avila is a Brazilian lawyer who has decades of experience working mainly with contract and consumer-rights’ law. She has worked for private companies and private law offices, as well as the nonprofit sector in Brazil, where her work focused on socio-cultural development. Silvia immigrated with her family to Canada in 2020, and is passionate about people and all cultural expressions. She hopes to apply her legal experience, communication skills, and strategic ability to support VLACC in fundraising, and in the ultimate goal of establishing a physical space for Latin American arts and cultures in Vancouver.
