January 7 @ 8:15 pm - 9:30 pm

VLACC is pleased to support the screening hosted by The Vancouver Film Festival (VIFF) and Iberoamerican Images of the film ‘Memories of My Father’ or ‘El Olvido que Seremos’ on Sunday, January 7 at 8:15 pm.

When: Sunday, January 7th at 8:15 pm
Where: VIFF Centre – Vancity Theatre
Tickets: https://viff.org/whats-on/memories-of-my-father/book/5SPYTKwkE1/

Directed by award-winning Spanish filmmaker Fernando Trueba, ‘Memories of My Father’ is based on the memoir by Héctor Abad Faciolince (‘Forgotten We’ll Be’), recounting his relationship with his father, the Colombian medical practitioner, professor, and human rights activist Héctor Abad Gómez.

His activist journey underscores an unwavering commitment to what he deems the five basic human rights: air, water, food, shelter, and affection, making him a revered figure on the streets of Medellín, Colombia.

Join us for this screening of a deeply moving family drama that goes beyond a father-son relationship to include insights into Colombia’s political scene.
