Re:Location Season 2 profiles five talented Latin American artists as they navigate the complexities of their careers while staying connected to their cultural roots. Each short documentary offers an intimate look at their challenges and triumphs, reflecting on how their experiences in Canada have shaped their artistic identities.

We will release a new documentary monthly on our YouTube channel. This season features five mid-career Latin American artists sharing their journeys, challenges, and strengths.

Meet Vancouver-based Cuban Visual Artist and graphic designer Yaimel López during our second episode. His work has been published in magazines and books, including animation, illustration, editorial design, branding, and poster design. His art has been showcased in exhibitions across the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Cuba, both individually and as part of collective showcases. In this compelling 10-minute documentary, Yaimel shares his inspiring journey as an immigrant artist, offering a glimpse into his creative process and the challenges he faced by building a career in Canada.
